This is the Fort Orange District website for district volunteers, parents and scouts. This site is devoted to providing current district and council news, information on upcoming scouting events, training calendars and links to other scouting sites. This is also a forum for leaders, volunteers and parents to discuss scouting topics and look for information or assistance.

Web Page News

Good news! We have renewed our site for another year! As part of this renewal, I will be in the process of updating some of the security issues for the web site over the next month or so. This should not impact anyone or the normal use of the web site.

Now for the "however" clause, during some of this work, I've discovered that our ISP, like most ISP's are doing now, have been blocking a lot of the outgoing E-mails from this site as part of the crackdown on spam. This means that for the past month or so, if you tried to use one of the response forms on this site, the E-mail was blocked from sending, and I never got it. So if you think I was ignoring you, please be assured I was not. I will be re-vamping all the contact forms in the near future to store into a database or file for review. If you need to contact me in the meantime, please do so through the email link to me on the District page. Thanks!

It's that time of year again! Pow-Wow is coming up on February 20th and registration is now open. Please remember that there are no walk-ins! You must pre-register to attend. Registration is $18 this year and your registration must be received by February 13th. For more information and registration information, follow the link below!

Did you know? This is a Year of Celebration, marking the 100th anniversary of the Scouting Program. There are a number of programs and initiatives being put in place through the end of the year. There is also more information on a special program award for the Year of Celebration.
